Where to travel after visiting Chicago?
I am traveling to the states to Chicago next October in a business trip , and i am planning to spend some time in the states after this , i need some advice where to go after this event? since the states is huge and all my travel should be by Air! so where to go and what to see there.
The US is huge. I would investigate one region and then go to the central city and plan several side trips.
Make some online searches of the following areas. October may be a bit late for Fall Colors but New England is famous for that and many historical sites:

The Middle Atlantic States have more historic and beautiful places. It includes New York City and Washington DC:

Go to the water on the Gulf Coast or the Southeast:

There are still a few cowboys and more in the Southwest:

Do like the rain and beautiful mountains. See those and more in the Northwest:

California is a state that has a great many things to see/do:

Finally, what about Chicago? The weather will be cooler but not cold and you could spend a long time seeing and visiting many interesting places:

While You’re in Chicago, you can visit Springfield IL, Quincy IL/Hannibal MO, St. Louis MO & several other places by car. Other neat places to visit are New Orleans, Miami, Washington DC, Las Vegas, San Fransisco, San Diego, New York……Which you will have to fly to.
